Azad Emphasises need for Population Stabilization Addresses Conference in China to Observe World 7 Billion Population Day

The Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad has said that India’s need for population stabilization can hardly be overemphasized. He was addressing the “World Seven Billion Population Day” conference at Tianjin, China today. Shri Azad said reduction in decadal growth rate of India’s population - from 21.54 between 1991 to 2001 to 17.64 in the years’ 2001 to 2011, is significant.
