U.S. to be 3rd in world population in 2050

WASHINGTON, June 27 (UPI) -- The United States is expected to remain the world's third most populous country through 2050 behind India and China, the U.S. Census Bureau said Monday.

The findings were determined from population estimates and projections for 228 countries and areas in the Census Bureau's international database, the agency said in a release.
