Higher Education Tackles Population Issue on Science Week 2011 - Conference announcement: Looking at the Syrian problem

DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Due to the importance of the population issue in Syria as a national issue connected to development, the Ministry of Higher Education dedicated the 51st Science Week 2011 for holding an international conference at Damascus University in November on the demographic changes in Syria and their development ramifications.
Watheq Rasool-Agha, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Science, said the conference will encompass all the ministries, organizations and boards concerned with the population issue, and that it will review several Arab and foreign experiences which shed light on the issue of population in similar environments.
